If your question is not answered here, you can email technical support.
Can I install AlarMe to a RAM card?
Yes, however, it is not recommended. The operating
system needs the path to AlarMe in order to start the alarm when the computer
is off. Some people have experienced problems with this. For some reason the
path can not be found when the computer first turns on. Most people do not
have this problem. However, since AlarMe is small (less than 40k bytes) it is
recommended that it be installed to the device's main memory. There is no
problem with storing sound files to a RAM card.
Can I synchronize AlarMe between
my handheld and my desktop?
Yes. Synchronizing the alarm file is simple, but
all the sound files used must also be synchronized. The recommended method
for accomplishing this can be found in the help file included with AlarMe.
Why doesn't the LED flash when the alarm goes
off, like it does with system alarms?
Control of the LED is limited and not consistant
between platforms. The alarm LED should work properly on most platforms.
Will the Alarm wear down my battery if I am not there to
turn it off?
No. The Windows
CE power saving feature will silence the alarm when it enters suspend mode.
If the power saving feature is not set or the device is plugged in, AlarMe
will stop the alarm after five minutes and automatically set the snooze.
After 3 snooze intervals, the alarm will be reset for the next alarm.
Why
can't I hear anything when the alarm goes off on my PocketPC?
In System
Settings, Sounds & Reminders, check the box next to Progams. Even though
AlarMe sets it's own volume, it cannot override system settings on the
PocketPC.
Where can I find sound files?
Here are a few
links to free sound download sites:
Partners in Rhyme
Future Wave Shaper
Royalty Free Art
Sound Waves
Or just do a web search for free wav files.
Why
don't my alarms go off after I reset my handheld or pocket PC?
After resetting
you device, you must run AlarMe to reset the alarms.
